WE MISS YOU! Holiday House Concert with After Arts

It has been a very long time since we played for a live audience and so we are particularly excited about joining up with AfterArts’ first SF foray. Join us at a wholly remodelled yet still quintessential, three level Noe Valley home listed by Rachel Swann of the Swann Group on Friday, December 10th to hear B3LLA live again!

We have chosen to present Dvorak’s six dance collection, aka “The Dumky” for you to enjoy while overlooking expansive city views, while sipping wine and enjoying a few bites. This will be followed by holiday cheer and opportunities for those who bring their own instruments to jam in one of several parts of the house for a few hours.

It’s going to be super fun and we are looking forward to re-connecting with all of our SF audience!

When: Friday, December 10th, 4-7pm

We are performing at 5p!

Where: 4258 26th Street, between Diamond and Castro in Noe Valley

Please bring your masks, and please be assured that we will have the floor to ceiling doors to the balconies and yards all open to ensure maximum ventilation!

A PANDEMIC HOLIDAY TRIBUTE

2020 has been a most unusual year, and our hearts go out to all who are fighting to maintain equanimity. B3LLA was honoured to be asked to participate in Carnegie Hall’s Livestream paying tribute to those on the front lines fighting CoViD-19. As a physician, the stories of exhaustion, despair and heartbreak resonated loudly. Keeping it all together when every days seems unfathomable worse than the last is so difficult. As a musician, it was something small I could offer to share music to try to heal some of those dedicated souls, without which the loss and devastation could be much much worse. Thank you to all those doctors and nurses out there!

WHAT MAKES ART GREAT?

Ever go to a concert and feel completely unmoved, versus other concerts where you leave feeling like you can see the world differently?

Well, a world class art collector, friend, and very wise observer of life recently reflected that truly great art is borne of three key elements:

1. A significant life experience
2. The intellectual capacity to communicate that experience
3. The technique to execute the story movingly

B3LLA certainly has stories.

And we are devoted and respect each others' intellect, consistent drive to hone our techniques and our passion to move audiences with the transformational power of masterful music.

Is it great art? We certainly hope so!

HAPPY 2016!

Last year was a devastating year for me personally.  But the music and the opportunities to share it with you and my colleagues lit the path to where I am now.  I look forward to making more music and bringing more community together around the magic that music can bring while we each travel this path called Life.

We need your help now.  We are looking for donations - to help fund our Beethoven Recording Project - all the Beethoven Trios, and to re-install our Rush Hour Concerts.  Please message us if you are interested in becoming a part of either of these very important projects.

We are also looking for donations in kind - for public and private venues that we can perform for you and your colleagues and friends.  Please message us if you have a great event, project or gathering that you would like to make magical with live chamber music!

Thanks so much and see you in 2016!

"You Are Not Alone" World Premiere - FRIDAY, Oct 24th, 2014

This has been a very personal passion project.

"You Are Not Alone," a work we commissioned by award-winning composer Oliver Caplan, in town from Boston, will have its World Premiere.

And we will play some beautiful Mozart, Arvo Pärt and Schubert for a really moving program.

So please join us and others and recognize the strength and inspiration we have received from our fellow breast cancer survivors and their loved ones.

(Go Giants!)
